Henrik Schwarz – Take Words In Return (Return Version)
Henrik Schwarz, the man responsible for some amazing productions (that lil gem had been on the shelf to post since I started with this blog) in the past, continues to surprise me. Not many artists in house music take the risk of putting out so many different kind of tunes while keeping their quality this high. The original of this track was released in november last year and got a remix EP with a lyrical synth stomper by Carl Craig and this slightly altered version of the original.
Clarian – Destroy, She Says
Dreamy and playful tune from Canadian producer Clarian North’s really dope Chemical Gardens EP. He seems to have found a nice original hybrid of different genres in house music, leaning towards an often vocal but dark and progressive sound.
Fetsum – Letters From Damascus (EnaWadan Remix)
Great remix by EnaWadan, taking on Egyptian Fetsum’s irie afro-jazz tune from his last years’ released album ‘The Colors of Hope’. Track is part of the ‘Letters From Damascus Remixes’ EP on Sonar Kollektiv.
Ben La Desh – Bohicon Bossa
Killer tune by Rotterdam based Producer Ben La Dash and yet another amazing release on sleazy beats. Forhcoming on the limited 12″ ‘Rebound Round EP’ in march. Subscribe to the newsletter to get notified.
Onur Ozman – Monolog
Slow but pretty intense and uplifting stomper by the Swiss producer with an insane output: Onur Ozman.
Laura Mvula – ‘Green Garden’ (Dave Invisible Remix)
Laura Mvula put the stems of her track ‘Green Garden’ up for grabs and invites everybody to make a remix out of it that might get selected and be “part of the official remix bundle” on her Mvula Remixed Page on soundcloud. This remix, with its playful synth lines, powerful drums and lovely build, is my absolute favorite of the tracks that got posted thusfar and will be hard to top for future contestants.
Sixteen Souls – Late Night Jam
Classic and smooth deephouse/disco track from 1997 that really set the tone around the time that it was sonically way ahead of, and finally got an official digital release in 2013.
Youandewan – Disarray
Great debut EP from the man that has been responsible for some great remixes in the past and found his home at hypercolour. The EP contains 4 originals that are really pure, wonky and atmospheric house tunes. I picked my favorite which also happens to be the most melodramatic and the title track.
Will be released on Hypercolour on march the 4th.
Ramsey & Co. – Love Call (Munich Machine edit)
This Edit is not by Georgio Moroder, it’s Alkalino’s new Alias who took on one of my favorite Disco/Jazz-Funk Tracks and like always made the perfect cut.
Doc Daneeka – Just Say The Words
Awesome upcoming release on 2020 vision by Doc Daneeka, who is named after a character in the novel Catch-22, prefers to look super serious on pictures and released tunes on Modeselektor’s always dope 50 weapons label. I posted another preview from the EP here.
